I have been an engineer for just over 4 years, plus a year of work I did while I was at university.

I am two years into my PhD, but I don’t really think of myself as an engineer. I studied Materials Science which is a cool overlap between engineering, chemistry and physics.

6 years. I spent 2 years as a rollercoaster photography engineer, and the last 4 as a robotics control systems and software engineer in the cybernetics department at RACE.

I qualified as a physicist last year, and have been working at UKAEA 1year and 2months just like Kaouthar as we started on the same day! Lots of science and engineering overlaps, and I am slowly doing more engineering jobs than science ones, so maybe I will be thought of as an engineer on day!

I worked as an engineer for 2 years and am now researching for a PhD to become a scientist/engineer to best benefit fusion energy.

I started in UKAEA at the same time as Kaouthar and Hermione so 1 year and 2 months officially as an engineer! However, I do have experience working in the engineering industry as an intern/placement student during my University years. 😊
