Well, some of my ancestors are from England, and I live in England, but I don’t consider myself English; if you go back 20 generations, we all have over a million ancestors, they couldn’t all be English! Of course some ancestors will appear in a few different branches in our family tree (strange but true) so we actually have somewhat fewer than the maths says, but my point is, we are all humans, and we are all cousins, not ‘English’ or otherwise 😉
I guess I am technically, although I think of myself as British rather than English. My Dad is Cornish and my Mum is Scottish, so theres not much English there. I would be interested to find out what my DNA says I am, a bit of everything probably.
