  Yeah, my boss at work which gets a bit awkward as new people keep mixing the two of us up.

  The only other people I have met with the name Iona are distant relations. I’m named after an island off the west coast of Scotland where my mum’s family are from. As I grew up south of the border I don’t come across it very often. Although there is a little girl at my daughters nursery with my name!

  Sometimes, but not often. When I was in high school I met a kid with my same name (and rarely, the same spelling too) and upon quizzing, it turned out his mum had heard my name some years back, and liked it! So in a way the kids was named after me! I still know him 😉
