      I’d say its 50% genes, 25% from their environment (has everyone been nice to them?) and the last 25% is luck…

      In fact, this is true of most of our personality and characteristics – there is a good book by Stephen Pinker called ‘Blank Slate’ where he looks at all the work done by scientists to understand how inportant genes are versus things like parenting, schooling and so on…

      It’s fun because in the end, parenting matters less than most people think!!
