Question: is it possible to make a working hover board like the ones in back to the future ?

The answer is an emphatic yes! There are many ways to do it -jets or small propellers would be loud and blow up a lot of dust so I think magnets are more practical. The main trouble with them is they only work when the ground is metal! Some sort of anti-gravity would be nice, but no-one has figured out how to do that yet: it could perhaps involve baby black holes and be very dangerous – but also fun!
