Question: is there a way to create an indistructable city

No I don’t think so! Also you wouldn’t necessarily want it to be indestructible. What if you built a building and 5 years later you realise it was the wrong thing to build and wanted to take it down? What happens if all the people moved to a different city – what would be the point of the first city staying there? Cities are made up of people and other ‘built’ stuff – for a city to be successful the people also have to survive and enjoy living in that city. People aren’t indestructible and their needs change over time – if we all start using driverless cars, our roads and other parts of cities will probably need to be very different. This idea of a city surviving but also changing (and sometimes breaking) is what resilience is all about. So… let’s try to build resilient cities not indestructible ones.
