Mermaids for me please. Far more romantic to think about all the possibilities they would bring… undersea civilisations, a complete overhaul of our understanding of the world!
A unicorn would just be another animal, sure interesting, and better looking than a rhino or narwhal, but what does it bring that a nice horse doesn’t? Case closed… unless of course the unicorn makes rainbows of happiness, in which case, sorry mermaids, you’re just smart fish, have you *seen* those rainbows of happiness?
JJ, in science, you cannot prove things don’t exist, it is a philosophical thing to understand what science can and can’t prove. There may be unicorns and mermiads. Look at this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence_of_absence
