      That is a tricky question – you can easily invent your own kind and no one could say you are wrong!

      But the main ones are:

      – civil

      Then there are the popular derivatives:

      – computer or software
      – aeronautical
      – environmental
      – materials
      – nuclear
      – mining
      – metallurgical
      – ceramics

      Then combinations and weirder stuff
      – biochemical / biomechanical/ biomedical / biomolecular
      – geotechnical
      – architectural
      – automotive
      – mechatronics / robotics
      – agricultural
      – industrial / manufacturing
      – geological
      – marine

      And that just off the top of my head!! No not really, plus a quick look on the web 😉
