That entirely depends on which kind of engineering you want to do.
Maths is a definite, and a science to go with it. Physics usually but chemistry if you want to go into chemical engineering. The best grades you can manage but I did rubbish in my A-levels (don’t ask it’s too embarrassing) and did a foundation year at Loughborough University. The grades I got there meant I could go on to study Mechanical Engineering.
I have no idea what subjects you get to pick from now. Other subjects like languages or design can help broaden your options but maths and science at the core are essential.
It depends on the uni and the specific branch as Iona says. For sure they need to be a strong pass, but no need for straight A’s. What really matters is if you enjoy the subject matter enough to already be reading about it in your spare time. If you are, then you will be fine.
