I didn’t enjoy school that much. I was just ready to be somewhere else, couldn’t wait to get to university. The hardest part for me was maintaining focus in lessons, I just couldn’t remember anything. I liked the subjects and my teachers were alright but I lost interest, which nearly meant I didn’t get to uni because my grades were rubbish. And that, Alanis Morisette, is actually ironic.
Thats probably quite a depressing answer but getting to where I wanted to be after high school was great.
I hated learning Afrikaans, a language I knew would not be useful in my life, but was compulsory at the time. I did not enjoy it. Things you enjoy, even if difficult, are not ‘hard’!
