Iona Strawson answered on 13 Jun 2016:

I sometimes think I would. Mostly around studying a bit harder, or focussing on things more. But then I remember, that if I had had better grades and not done a foundation year, or had joined the navy as was my original plan, I wouldn’t have been living on Granville Street in Loughborough 2005 and met a boy next door who was also studying mechanical engineering. We got married in July 2014 and had a baby girl last year. I also might not have done my placement year in London, and ended up with a job for when I graduated and built a life in a city I love.

I think I’ll always have regrets about doing things differently or wonder what would have happened if I’d made a different decision but I try to look forward. As my Grandma says, ‘What’s for you won’t go by you’.

I hope that answers your question. Sorry if it got a bit deep and meaningful!
