Good question, I’ve never thought about that before so I guess that means I’ve never regretted it! As with any job there are days when I think it’s tough or I wish I could be doing something outside in the sunshine, but no I don’t regret it – I love my job and I have done for the last 7 years…but if in the future I stop loving it so much there are loads of other things I would be able to do because I have so many transferrable skills as an engineer.
I don’t ever regret becoming an engineer, but that’s not to say every day is a joy. There are days where I spend lots of hours at a computer when I’d rather be out on my bike but I’m sure if you asked Usain Bolt if he enjoyed every day he ever trained he would say there are days he would have rather been inside so it’s swings and round abouts I guess.
Hi Jo and Josh,
I guessed you would say no. But I wanted to know anyway because I have heard of lots of people who pick there job but then hope they picked something else.
Thanks for the reply!
