Our company is accredited with ISO 9001 which is a quality standard which ensures quality and compliance.

As part of the standard we are required to work to strict procedures which include checking of your own work and checking of other people’s work.

For example none of my drawings are sent to a customer without being checked by my colleague and vice versa.

Some designs (high pressure, high volume, steam applications) are required to be checked by Notified Bodies. This means my calculations and design is sent to another company (I.e. TUV, Bureau Veritas, LLoyds) for approval. They then check the unit during manufacture and at testing stage also.

I’m also very conscientious and double check my work. If I’m unsure of anything I’m lucky enough to work in a friendly environment where I can ask a colleague or a boss for advice.
