      As with all jobs where you are working in manufacturing or attending construction sites there are hazards and risks. But legislation is put in place to try to prevent any accidents. Employers have to carry out Risk Assessments for all aspects of work (even working at a PC), when you attend site you have to go through inductions so that you are made aware of any potential hazards and are made familiar with emergency protocol. Engineering is a much safer industry these days due to the legislation put in place.
