Why did you become an engineer instead of becoming an architect?

Question: Why did you become an engineer instead of becoming an architect?

  I decided that I wanted to focus on designing smaller things that were centred around human problems where as architecture often focuses on larger scale problems about how a large number of people use a space. I still get to dabble in architecture on occasion.

Question: Why did you become an engineer instead of becoming an architect?
