Chemical and biochemical engineering are both process engineering really, so we spend time designing industrial processes to make things.
That could be designing pieces of equipment that do a conversion of some kind or just specifying the best operating method for the equipment so we can make as much of the product as we can.
The best part is it doesn’t matter which you do (really) you should learn enough about processes to be able to work with fun stuff like chocolate or make energy or medicines that save lives.
To do all this you use maths, chemistry, biochemistry and physics to solve real problems.
