• Question: if you were at school now what subjects would you take

      Computing and coding has really taken off in schools recently, and I would definitely have enjoyed that. But if I had my school days again, I think I would stick with maths and science as being my favourites.

      I agree with Helen, Maths and science were always my favourites and I would always study them. There’s a lot more variation in schools now and different subjects are available then when I was there. It’s about doing what you enjoy as well as what you have to. As you get older, you make more specific choices and they may go on to define what job you have, but not always! I know people doing completely different jobs to their degrees. Part of me wishes I’d taken more languages as I now work with people from all over the world and having as many avenues of communication as possible always helps!

      I would have to agree with Helen and Hollie. I would still choose Maths and science, plus geography but also give more time to computing and coding. I would also learn an additional language, maybe German and French.
