• Question: Do you like working as a team or by your own?

      I like both. It is fun to concentrate on solving a problem on my own. I like to work in my own little ‘bubble’ to do this.

      Engineering is very complex and surgical or medical engineering needs more skills than any one engineer can have. It is very satisfying when each member of the team brings their own work together to make something more than we can do on our own. I also really enjoy working on a team with doctors as they have a completely different set of skills and they can see problems in a new way. That can help to solve a problem or introduce new things to work on.

    That totally depends on the task. I typically relish being part of a team since it’s not possible to achieve big goals alone. However, for quick turn-around design/engineering projects, I like to get stuck into things on my own without distractions.
