• Question: Have you ever invented something?

      We’ve had to create policies and procedures and sometimes we get creative when fixing something but I cant claim to have actually invented anything physically in use. I think James Dyson’s job is safe from me.

      I’ve been part of a team that invented a new device for holding skin out of the way during robotic thyroid surgery. That project was a lot of fun.

      The steerable needle project that I work on at the moment is certainly an invention but definitely not my idea.

      I haven’t invented something I can say is my own idea, but at work we’re always designing and trying new things out that is unique at work.
