      In theory, no. However, you’d probably need a secure interface with the arm to transmit the loads and forces of the arm effectively through the body. You could, for example, place an implant into the bone to hold it securely, have it exit the skin and grip the robotic arm. This approach is sometimes used in limb prostheses, but can result in extra bone forming in random locations (bone tends to re-model and grow based on the loads placed on it. Clever, but a problem if you start getting bone growing where you don’t want it!).
