Question: What did you have to do become an engineer?

Study hard, get the grades, pick relevant topics in education, enjoy what I do and have some good fortune. There are many different forms of engineering that require different types of skill sets. I have always loved design/engineering, so picked topics that interested me and would take me towards a degree that I knew I wanted to do (product design and manufacture). There are of course other ways, such as apprentiships that can get you into. I also did some relevant work experience via funded schemes. I’d recommend that if you can.
