      Arthritis is a group of diseases that involve damaged body joints. Its another meaning is inflammation of bone or body joint. Arthritis can cause pain, swelling and stiffness. It can be painful to move with arthritis. There is no cure and can last for a long time. I as an medical engineer, look at the patients’ ability in doing their daily living activities such as stair climbing, walking, opening a jar, pinching and ….. I use diffent type of mathematical models to estimate their muscle and joint motion; and I advice them on different type of activities that they need to do in order to stay mobile.
