• Question: Why did you first chose to teach?

      As a researcher, I’m expected to do some teaching as part of my job. I really enjoy it though. It’s really fun involving students and getting them to think about the challenges engineers face when designing devices for the human body.

      For example, when designing an artificial heart valve, you need to think about how the body will react to it as well as if it will work like the normal valve.
