• Question: Would you feel squeamish if you are in a operation theatre?

      I’m not a squeamish person and things like this fascinate rather than repulse me. Great question as it’s something many might not think of when coming into a medical field to work.

      No. I was nervous the first time, but so far I’ve been absolutely fine. There hasn’t been a lot of blood yet though.

      I’ve only seen a live open heart surgery once and I thought I’d be squeamish but I was totally fine. I guess even if you were squeamish the first time after a while it becomes okay. I’ve seen a lot of surgery videos and I’m used to it now.
