No, I really wanted to be an astronaut growing up. Unfortunately the best way to get in to that would be by being a fighter pilot which isn’t really me so I did Aerospace Engineering instead. If you can’t fly the rockets why not make them?

Not necessarily an engineer but I’ve always wanted to know how stuff works, whether it’s specifically in my field or in someone elses, though my interest has always lied in mechanical things, which points directly to engineering.

I did, but I didn’t realise it until WAY later in my career.
I started out working for a Bank after my A-Levels because I couldn’t think of what else to do.
When I decided to change career I kicked my self because Civil Engineering (building stuff like roads, rail, earthworks) seemed like the perfect fit for me. -

No, I went through lots of different job ideas as a kid. I knew I didn’t want to go into economics (because that was what my parents did!). I think when I was 13 or 14, we started talking about different jobs in school and I must have realized that engineering was the perfect fit for me. I already likes building stuff, taking things apart and understanding how things work at the time. As I found out more about engineering, I got more and more certain that that was what I wanted to do. And I’m still enjoying it today! 🙂
