      Leonardo Da Vinci! There’s a museum of his inventions in Florence and it is just…wow. He worked on an incredibly diverse lot of stuff: helicopters, medicine, art… You’d certainly never get bored!

      I agree with Felicity; Da Vinci is definitely the coolest of that bunch. He’s responsible for a vast range of things we use nowadays, and has influenced everything from art to science.

      Yes – I’ll go along with Fe and Lauren – DaVinci. He had some really forward thinking ideas, even though he often didn’t have the right tools/materials to make them work. But maybe we wouldn’t have planes and helicopters without his ideas …

      Well I’m a fan of having in door plumbing so I’ll be Alexander Graham Bell as he was about in the 20th century.
      I don’t think I’d be a very good inventor however.
      I would be interested to find out how the people who came up with all these world changing inventions and ideas imagined what they’d become.
      Could Alexander G B conceive of a Mobile phone?
      What would Pythagoras make of the space program?

      Although all have made such massive contributions to our way of life, I would have to go with Alexander Graham Bell. I feel that the world has benefited from global communication which might not have been possible without the contributions of Alexander Graham Bell. From data being sent via electrical connections to communication via light. Most of the applications I can think of nowadays use data communication one way or another.

      I think all of these inventors must have had incredible imaginations to have come up with such forward thinking ideas. Maybe the ‘crazy ideas’ that we hear about now will not seem so crazy in 50 years when everyone is using it/them….. I am still hoping I will see a hoverboard in my lifetime!! 🙂
