I mostly work in the office. I’m supposed to dress smart so mostly shirt, tie , smart shoes etc. My office is pretty flexible on this so as long as I don’t turn up to work in a Metallica 2004 World tour tee shirt I’m OK.
If I’m out meeting clients or presenting I’ll make an effort and suit up. I like dressing super smart when I’m representing the company, It gives me confidence and the extra pockets a suit offers are very useful for hiding chocolate bars.
If I’m out on site I have to wear what’s called “Personal Protective Equipment” or PPE for short.
This means things like:
High Visibility Jackets so I’m easily seen.
Safety Helmet to protect my head from knocks and bumps.
Safety glasses to protect my eyes from small flying debris.
What I wear and when depends on the site I am visiting. If I am out and about checking out roads, I’ll likely just be in high visibility clothes to let drivers know I’m there.
