Question: What was the hardest software to fix?

My current project is very complicated, mostly due to the size. I cannot go into much detail about the software I am currently working on but it has some safety aspects as it is used by the Navy which adds a layer of complexity to it. The software works over a network and communicates with hardware and software from other companies. There have been many problem along the develop path and typically the problems have been very difficult to find.
