Yes sometimes, but I keep it interesting by working on prototypes in the workshop (hammering and welding) and by discussing ideas with colleagues.

Not really, there are so many areas of science, so if you get a bit too much of one thing you can look into something else for a while and come back to later.
I like the “infinite monkey cage” podcast, they discuss a different sphere of science every week and it’s really funny

There are so many different parts to “science” it’s hard to get bored of it. Sometimes you do need to try and switch off form the science and rest your brain though.

      Hi,

Yes, sometimes, when you’ve worked on the same thing for a long time, it can get boring. So what I do to get fresh perspective is either leave it for a while and come back or I speak to someone about it.

I agree with all of the others. I wouldn’t say that I get bored of science itself, but you do sometimes have to do the same thing over and over again (heard of repeat experiments?). However, there is so much variety out there that you can just switch to working on something different for a while (like Jack, I also like to get my hands dirty and build something every now and again).
