I suppose that depends on what you count as success…
Have I developed and progressed in my career? Yes
Have I learned and grown in my abilities? Yes
When I had setbacks and failure was I able to reflect on them and use them to eventually succeed at the task in hand? Yes
Am I a millionaire? No, but I have enough.
I hope this answers your question
I agree with Tom, thats hard to answer.
A lot of the solutions i have came up with at work, have saved the company a lot of time and money. I also have been successful in developing new poducts but it think there is always more than can be done. As technology develops there are better solutions to be found, it’s never ending.
Personally, I’m still aiming to work for NASA one day but I’ve been successful in my current possition.
I agree with Tom and Laura, it depends on what you define success as.
I can say yes in the sense of making progress. So success for in my research is that I design a problem (since I’m envisioning problems that might affect future communication), solve it, write a paper and get it published.
I can also say yes in the sense of skill development. I’ve learned many new things and everyday I keep learning
