It depends on what my Air Handling Units are supplying. If they are providing operating theaters then it is imperitive i do my job correct or their could be contamination caused.
But.. Air Handling Units are a luxury in most cases – so not as important as others.

Depends on how successful my experiments are! Generally, my work is at the very early experimental stage of its development and it will take many years for it to be used in the real world. I think the problems that we face as a society with degenerative diseases are incredibly important. However, I am working as one of thousands of researchers around the world in this field. I hope that my efforts make a difference one day but the big problems in the world are never solved by just one person.

      Hi Tom,

I think it’s pretty important, I’m dealing with envisioning telecommunication for the future. This means that how successful we are will determine if the performance of future networks. It also means I must take it very seriously.

I make sure people are competent to use our technology correctly and safely. Our customers use it for a variety of purposes including; accurately placing structures on the seabed to establish the energy infrastructure we all rely upon (building wind farms, drilling for oil and gas at sea, building wave or tidal generators); laying subsea fibre optic cables that keep the internet and other communications working; exploring the vast unchartered ocean floor for new scientific discovery; and monitoring the environment. So yes… I like to think my part in all that is quite important, it was certainly nice to see Sir David Attenborough on TV dive to a depth of 1000m in a submersible tracked by our technology, and the sonar operators were trained by my team.
