      each of our acoustic transponders costs about the same as a family car, and you need atleast 5 to set up an underwater GPS system, plus other kit and vehicles and a vessel and lots of people… so each project ends up costing millions!

      Hi Lonely Child,

      To create a base station (which is like the hub that provides data to people in an area) from start to finish will cost millions of pounds. A high powered radio can cost up to a £100k, and you have to feature in costs of other materials, the maintenance, the people who work there…. Let’s just say it’s really expensive.

      A lot of money. To bring a new piece of technology through to use in hospitals costs many millions of pounds. I would say that the project that I am working on has cost a few tens of thousands so far.

      We create my projects on bought in products – so it doesn’t usually cost the company anything – we charge the customer. Approximately £5k per Air Handling Unit for controls

      The products we make are very high-tech and very pricey. Our simple cameras cost around £1000 – £2000 to manufacture. Our bigger and more complex cameras cost between £8000 – £10,000!
