Question: What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you.

wow… there are so many to choose from.
On so many occasions I have opened my mouth before engaging my brain which has led to many an awkward silence, and there have been a few times when I have done something stupid in my engineering work… but we all make mistakes and the important thing is to learn from them (and not repeat them). But my most embarrassing moment was not to do with work… I had cycled home from work on a lovely summer evening, a 7.5 mile route that took me across a ferry, through the busy city centre traffic of Plymouth and out into the bustling suburb where I live. I got home safe and well greeted my wife who was home herself. As I was going upstairs to shower and change she laughed and said from the bottom of the stairs behind me “How long have your cycling shorts been like that?”
When I looked I had a long split right up the middle of the back of my lycra shorts leaving my bum very exposed indeed!!! I imagine the drivers on the ferry and, especially through town, had quite an eyeful as I was riding home! 😀
