• Question: how easy was it for you to find a career in engineering?

      There is a shortage of engineers in a lot of sectors so I got lots of interviews when I graduated and each time I have changed jobs I have found a new one quickly. It also helps if your willing to move for the right job.

      I didn’t find it too difficult, there are a lot of graduate schemes around and because other sectors (e.g. finance) steal people with engineering degrees there’s a bit of a skills shortage…

      So it’s not the case that engineering jobs are impossible to come by!
