I help design and test imaging detectors (cameras) used in space missions and particle physics experiments

My Typical Day: I go into the lab, play around with electronics, write some computer code, sometimes I have to write technical reports

What I'd do with the money

I have some exciting demonstrations on optics and electronics which I’d like to develop as a kit to be shown in schools.

  Made some technology work so that others could do great things with it.

  What did you want to be after you left school?

  A scientist

  Were you ever in trouble at school?

  not that often

  If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?

  some other type of engineer… or possibly a scientist, or technician.

  Who is your favourite singer or band?

  don’t have one at the moment, but I love really bad music.

  What's your favourite food?

  Probably a curry.

  What is the most fun thing you've done?

  ever? too hard to say, I have fun the whole time. Mostly.

  Q:Why are there no Aspirin tablets in the Jungle? A: Because parrots-et-em-ol (you have to hear it out loud really)
