• Question: What age were you when you decided that you would like to be an engineer in the future? Also, what made you choose this career path?

      As a kid I was excited by F1 cars/fighter jets because of their speed and the fact they were high performance machines and I thought it would be cool to be someone who designed them.

      From about the age of 13/14 I had a pretty good idea that I wanted to be a Mechanical Engineer…

      I was about eight or ten. I knew I wanted to work designing electronics, but I don’t know if actually used the word ‘engineer’ at that time.

      I was really interested in science when I was a kid but engineering only really came up when I started looking at careers at the end of my GCSE’s even then I don’t think I properly understood what being an engineer was all about.
