  We already try to make environmentally friendly designs with minimal waste but in the future I think this is going to become even more important as the cost of raw materials go up.

  Energy – given that fossil fuels will one day run out, and given that global warming is becoming more and more of an issue, we are going to have to rethink the way we produce our energy, and engineers will play a big part in whatever the solution is!
