So my degree is ‘Automotive Engineering’, it’s basically the same as a straight up Mechanical Engineering degree but with some modules specific to cars (e.g. learning about suspension geometry, calculating power from engines, learning about car manufacture etc.).

The rest of the non specific units are mostly maths based (maths, structural mechanics, thermofluids etc.), some materials stuff (properties of metals etc.) and also some design modules.

The degree can last 3 years for a batchelors degree, 4 years for a masters degree OR a batchelors degree with a year in industry, or 5 years for a masters degree with a year in industry.
