Question: what is the most important thing about your job ?

The most important thing for me is that it keeps my brain engaged – I do a lot of interesting work and there’s a lot of variety in the things I do so getting bored doesn’t really happen too often!

In terms of ‘the bigger picture’ the most important thing about my job is that I design equipment which helps keep ISIS running, which allows science to be done here and new discoveries to be made!
