• Question: what would your electronics kit include?

      Multimeter, Soldering iron, Pliers, Wire cutter and perhaps some resistors and capacitors

      The same as Samer, and also an oscilloscope (to view signals on a screen), loads and loads of screwdrivers (people at work are always borrowing mine), and a notebook.

      I always have a very good magnifying glass to hand (or preferably a stereo microscope). Modern surface mount components are so small it’s hard to tell what they are sometimes!
