• Question: what you think makes a good engineer? good degrees or natural talent?

      If an engineer has a good degree, then they’re obviously clever and will probably be a good engineer.

      I work with a lot of good engineers who don’t have degrees and became mechanical engineers after completing apprenticeships in engineering workshops making things on machines.

      Either way you need some talent, you’d struggle to get a good degree or be a good engineer if you had no talent at all!

      Although in terms of getting a job, a good degree is something an employer will look at. Talent is difficult to get across in a CV…
