• Question: Have you always wanted to be an engineer?

      The short (and only) answer is “yes”!!!!!
      Apparently, when I was about four years old, my “warcry” was “I want to see the wheels go round!!!”

      I properly decided when I was about 13, though I always enjoyed the school subjects that are useful for engineering (maths, science, design technology). I went through a lot of different ideas before then (including archaeologist and doctor!) It wasn’t for a while after that until I decided what type of engineer I wanted to do, I even did one degree (Aeronautics and Astronautics) and then changed my mind to Biomedical Engineering! I was 20 when I made that decision.

      I was going to be a dentist!

      Saying that I’m really good with power and hand tools….maybe I could retrain 😉

      No, first I wanted to be a heart surgeon, but then I watched a documentary about open heart surgery, and that changed my mind. Also, I never liked the smell of the hospitals, it makes me sad. (Huge respect for all the medical doctors). I decided to become an engineer when I was about 14-15. But I wasn’t still sure what type of engineers, I even applied for two different engineering field when I was coming to the UK. I got accepted for both, but biomedical engineering attracted me more than electronic engineering, so that’s what i did. 🙂
