I decided to become an engineer at the age of 13. Before that, I swapped and changed between lots of ideas of what I wanted to do when I grew up (everything from archeologist to doctor!)
I always loved maths, science and design & technology. I love solving problems and creating things. I entered quite a few D&T and engineering competitions through school and really enjoyed them. When I found out that I could do all the things I loved for a career, it was a natural choice for me.
My first dream job was to become a heart surgeon, then I wanted to become a lawyer or dentist, or an architect, but when I was about 14-15 I decided to become an Engineer because I found it very cool and interesting that most of the things around me were designed/built by engineers. Also, my dad and my brother are engineers so that helped me as well because I could ask them loads of questions. So then I ended up coming to the UK at 17 and start studying Biomedical engineering 🙂
