I really want to inspire you guys (the next generation) into getting into engineering.

      It’s great 🙂

I thought to myself, I might be able to at least inspire few people or just simply make it easier for them to choose what they would like to do as a profession. When I was at school I didn’t have these sort of opportunities, and I think this is very helpful to make you understand what each degree/job can do. So I joined to hopefully help you guys a bit in your decision makings and all the questions you might have. 🙂

I wanted to have the opportunity to inspire and show you all the different routes into engineering, especially my own and show how everything and anything is possible with engineering, and if you’re interested in engineering, you can be involved in so much good in the world!

I saw it advertised on Twitter last year and thought that it would be good fun! I love speaking to students and finding out what they think of STEM and I like to inspire people to love what I love. I think it’s a great opportunity for students to find out more from people who are actually doing those jobs, because sometimes in school is can seem like what you learn is a bit pointless. I want to be able to share my knowledge and passion for STEM so that everyone knows that it is an option for them, even if they decide they don’t want to do it in the end. Without volunteers, great events like this can’t run and that would be a shame for everyone!

A friend of mine did it and really got me into it. It also seems like a great way to really engage with you all and try to hopefully explain what an engineer does and encourage even just one of you to become one would be great.
