A Naval Architect originally from Mid Wales, I now live in Chepstow having moved down to start work in Bristol after Graduation. Outside work, I like any activities that allow me to get outside, but walking and cycling are my favorites!

I am responsible for safety & technical management of the NATO Submarine Rescue System

I am employed by the governments of France, Norway and the United Kingdom to look after the the NATO Submarine Rescue System, which is designed to rescue the crew from a stranded submarine, down to a depth of 610 meters under the sea.

There is no such thing as a typical day in work – I could be in the office writing a report, attending meetings away from the office at home or abroad or away on exercise with my equipment. Thankfully we haven’t had use it in anger yet!

That's a hard question to answer!
What's the best thing you've done in your career?
Contributing to bringing the new Royal Navy aircraft carrier (HMS Queen Elizabeth) into service.

History
What did you want to be after you left school?
I had no idea. I didn't really think about my career until I was studying at Uni.
Were you ever in trouble at school?
No
If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?
A surgeon.
Who is your favourite singer or band?
Radiohead
What's your favourite food?
Cheese (all sorts!)
What is the most fun thing you've done?
A five day walk across the north of England along Hadrian's Wall

Go travelling, see the Welsh rugby team win the world cup, design and build my own boat
