I’m a physicist by training but now work in the social sciences. My research is still about science, but from the perspective of the general public. I’m interested in what people think about transport innovations, such as driverless vehicles, hydrogen-powered cars and many others. I also study how to make the transport system more equitable and more sustainable. My research involves asking people lots of questions (via questionnaire surveys or qualitative interviews) and analyzing their answers.
-
My Typical Day: Lots of emails, running my projects, talking to people, organising activities, supervising students
-
My career path: Physics, work in industry (automotive + energy), PhD, international academic experience, lots of hard work
